1908 Winter Skiing Pastoral Christmas Vintage Postcard

1908. "A Joyful Yuletide" The Winter scene on this Gilded Age postcard is particularly unusual because it includes a man on skis, wearing breeches and carrying a sack on his back. He is crossing frozen water to reach a woman on the bank who is holding a muff. In the background, we see a charming arch bridge, snow-covered trees, barns - even cattails overwintering on the banks. Embossed and gilded. It is a miniature work of art worth enjoying in its own right. This would look great framed or make a nice addition to any collection.
