1910 College Secret Society & New Year's Day Silk Postcard

1910. Ladies Calling Day; New Year's Day Tradition. A young lady wears a royal blue, genuine silk (on card) thread dress, and hat. An older woman enters the room from behind.

The young man welcoming them is a member of a Fraternity. Pennants with the names of several Universities hang on the wall - Yale, Vassar, Normal, Columbia, and one other we cannot read. There are hints of Fraternal Secret Society symbols: a skull, swords, a disc or shield, and a Middle Eastern lamp with a crescent moon. This would look great framed or make an excellent addition to any collection.
