1908 Helen Burnside Greeting Vintage Christmas Postcard

1908 An illuminated script Christmas postcard. A Joyous Christmas greeting and poem by H.M. Burnside. Decorated with pretty holly, berries, and songbird illustrations. 

May the flowers of warm affection bloom, 
Goodwill bear fruit of gold, 
While softly in each heart and home, 
Sweet peace its wings doth fold. 

Helen Marion Burnside (1841-1923) published many song lyrics and poems. Over six thousand of her verses were put into Christmas cards over the span of her career. Gilded and embossed. This would look great framed or make a nice addition to any collection.
