1944 Little Church of Flowers Glendale California Vintage Postcard

1944. Dedicated in 1918, the Little Church of the Flowers was the first church built on the existing cemetery property in the United States. Its design was inspired by a village church at Stoke Poges, Buckinghamshire, England, where poet Thomas Gray penned his "Elegy Written in a Country Churchyard." Exterior view of the Little Church of the Flowers at Forest Lawn in Glendale, located at 1712 S. Glendale Avenue. This vintage postcard would look great framed or make a nice addition to any collection.
