1940s. Wartime daffodil brooch. Material restrictions during WW2 resulted in a surge of sterling silver jewelry. Faux glass and plastic were used in response to gemstone shortages. Marked: STERLING, simulated stones. Fastens with safety clasp. Measures 3.5 x 2.5 inches.
