1911. Two charming girls in Regency Era dresses and straw bonnets have a large wicker basket on the ground between them. Gathering hearts, they fill the basket. The lacelike scrollwork in the background also features hearts, the symbol of romantic love. This would look great framed or make an excellent addition to any collection. Embossed. Artist signed BEB, with a sweet rhyme to complete the holiday message:
To My Valentine -
If hearts were like apples,
You quickly would see,
How I'd pick up a bushel
And send them to thee.
