1950s Vintage Vanity Fair Red Lace Full Slip

1950s. Vanity Fair lipstick red lace nylon full slip. Modern size equivalent: Petite, Small 4 

The vintage size on the label is not true to modern sizing, it says: Petite Medium 8 but see these actual measurements:
Bust 34 inches 
Waist 28 inches 
Hips 36 inches 
Sweep 44 inches 
Side seam length 28 inches 

Tiny stain spot at the left side hip area. Minimal chipping of original enameled strap slides on the adjustable straps. Three-panel body. Lined, princess seam lace cups. Made in USA. 

Vanity Fair label. The company was founded in 1917 as a silk glove company but quickly became a coveted name in lingerie. During WW2 the company joined the war effort and moved its entire production into the manufacturing of nylon parachutes.
