Viollet-le-Duc designed this hall to be the architectural heart of the palace. The statues on the fireplace represent nine preuses or heroic women from history and myth. These include Semiramis and Joan of Arc. This room is also known as the Salle des Preuses. The furniture seen in the foreground are unique circular benches designed specifically for the imperial court. The manufacture date of this card aligns with the early divided back period in France. The reverse features the classic ND Phot. stamp of the Neurdein Frères studio. The collotype process captures the vast scale and intricate textures of the vaulted gallery perfectly.

Love it ♡
Get it ☆
Get Lucky 💋 Vintage
