15 - 1930s 12.5x16mm French Ivory Celluloid Beads

Fifteen 1930s vintage carved celluloid, or "French Ivory, beads. Oval, each measuring 12.5 x 16 mm. Celluloids are considered the first plastic. Introduced in 1880, the height of celluloid was seen between the 1930s and 1955. It was banned from production because it is highly flammable.
