HOW TO MEASURE:

Please refer to size chart above. Take your measurements accurately, making no extra allowances. Do not take measurements too tightly. Remember to start with the low-inch end of measuring tape. Be careful tape doesn't slip, has not twisted, shrunk or stretched.

Note measurements in listings are actual measurements of garments, so compare those to *Your True Measurements* and make allowances AFTER comparing the two.

Total Length: base of neck at back to hem.

Bodice Length: base of neck to waist. Tall garments/ladies are 16 1/2" or longer in the bodice.

Sleeve Length: from top of sleeve inset at shoulder, following outside edge of sleeve to end of cuff. Details of cuffs are given in listings. We also suggest referring to measurements of similar garments you may already have to compare for fit.

Skirt Length: waistline to hem. Measure from natural waistline at front, to length desired. Have someone take your measure to assure proper measurements.

Shoulder/Across Back: top of shoulder sleeve seam to top of shoulder sleeve seam, across the back. Measure shoulder to shoulder and allow for movement: we also suggest referring to measurements of similar garments you may already have.

Bust/Chest: underarm seam to underarm seam, doubled. Pass tape measure entirely around body, over fullest part of bust, well up under the arms and across the shoulder blades in back. Make allowances for undergarments and ease of movement.

Waist: at waist seam of garment, or naturally located in most vintage garments 7" beneath underarms at side seam. Measure all around your natural waistline making allowance for undergarments and ease.

Hips: Measure 7" inches below natural waistline, or at fullest part of hips, over skirt, passing entirely around your body as in picture.

Sweep: side seam to side seam at hemline, doubled.
