1907 Drying Peaches in California

Step back in time with this stunning 1907 vintage postcard, capturing a vibrant scene of agricultural life in early 20th-century California. The image showcases men, likely migrant workers, diligently moving massive trays of drying peaches under the warm California sun, while women observe from a distant onsite shelter.

This postcard, titled “Drying Peaches in the California Sun,” features an undivided back (UDB) and is a gorgeous Seliochrom printed card with a tinted halftone. It was produced by the Adolph Selige Publishing Company of St. Louis. The front of the card includes a notation of “East St. Louis” and is postmarked from there.

This beautiful piece of history is perfect for collectors of vintage postcards, agricultural memorabilia, or early 20th-century Americana.
